Ali Europe and Farooq jan.
The last update I read was they are talking abut an extension for the Asian Cup. You know we are dealing with the IFF planning by Iranians. One thing Ali Daei said, which is correct. There are no coaches in Iran, at any level who could do what CQ does.
sf the IFF pays the same salary to CQ, they will get a top European or Latin American coach. CQ raised the standards, the fans expect Iran to get out of the group stages. I do not think the IFF can go cheap and hire a dolati coach. The first person to hears something should post a link in this thread.

Latest Queirz news, apparently Algeria made him an offer but he turned them down. Algeria land former player Djamel Belmadi as new boss after Carlos Queiroz rules himself out

Re: carlos queiroz?

I'm afraid that once again the disability and incompetence of IFF will make Iran once again lose a great coach...and at the end we might end up with a weak coach and bad preparation....

Re: carlos queiroz?

Ali Europe it would not surprise me at all if that happened because we have seen the IFF screw up a good thing before. I mean how hard is it to get CQ for just a six month extension, meanwhile you can search for a good coach. We are going to get a weak dolati coach or a 3rd rate Eastern Europeaner with the last name ending in Ivich.

I really hope CQ's contract gets extended till WC 2022. He has been the best thing happening to our football since the revolution.

Re: carlos queiroz?

Arsene Wenger would be great in Iran. He is such a gentlemen. We should start our own campaign to recruit him. I got five bucks...

Re: carlos queiroz?

Farouq Jan I think Arsen Wenger would be great but here is the problem. The IFF tried several times to pay Carlos Queiroz the $700,000 that they owe him. They cannot pay him because of the sanctions, again they tried several times. The sanctions are starting to impact all of Iranian life, the only good news is this will put pressure and the IR will feel the heat. Plus, Wenger is up there in age now, would he even WANT to coach Iran or any team?
Here is an article linking CQ to an Asian and an Frican team, the Asian team is South Korea btw.
