Re: Euro 2008 news!

The veteran coach opted to let his players have a week off to see their families and relax after a gruelling season before coming together for the build-up to the tournament.

La Selección are one of the last squad's to start their build-up and will be the last to arrive in Austria and Switzerland, where they will take on Russia, Sweden and Greece in the group stage.

All 23 players will meet at the Spanish Football Federation's headquarters at Las Rozas on Monday lunchtime before going through their first training session.

Aragonés will ensure the players are quickly back into the swing of things though with double sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before they depart for Huelva where a friendly against Peru on Saturday awaits.

Rubén De la Red continued training all last week to maintain his fitness, while Cesc Fàbregas and Andrés Iniesta are expected to report with minor muscle injuries.

The whole squad, bar Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos, met up last Monday in Madrid for a chat about what the itinerary will be and bond slightly.

After playing Peru at the weekend, Spain then take on the United States in Santander on Wednesday June 4 and the following day they depart for their Euro 2008 base in Innsbruck.

Aragonés complete squad includes: Iker Casillas, Reina, Palop, Sergio Ramos, Juanito, Puyol, Capdevila, Arbeloa, Albiol, Marchena, Fernando Navarro, Xabi Alonso, Marcos Senna, Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc, De la Red, Silva, Cazorla, Sergio García, Güiza, Villa, Fernando Torres.

William Gallas : We should make the finale atleast!

William Gallas stated that never reaching the finale would be a failure for his team ""We have been in the final of World cup 2006, so, never making it to the finl in Euro 2008 would be a failure, even if Euro is more difficult than the World Cup," said Arsenal defender."

Nice pictures besquite namaki, the team busses are really cool and I like the jerseys as well. I'm glad Nike got rid of that stupid circle on the number that was kind of gay.

Re: Euro 2008 news!

Jersies lack totally imagination or originality. My favorit would be the German Black & Red jersey ... The Portuguese training jersies (in the pictures) are cool though.

thanks for the updates BN jaan.
