LONDON (AP) - Arsenal beat Manchester United (http://www.soccernation.com) 2-1 Saturday to reassert its title credentials, while Hull lost its third straight match after an impressive start to its debut Premier League campaign.

Samir Nasri scored twice to lead Arsenal over the defending champions. The victory eases the pressure on manager Arsene Wenger after a three-match winless streak in all competitions.

It was a fantastic match! Nasri is going to be BIG! I love this guys vision, technic and most of all attitude on the pitch. Despite his young age, he is a real gentleman.

Rafael who came in for Man United and scored a fab goal impressed me big time. For a first match, he did much better than many in Man United side.

Go Arsenal Go Nasri

Samir was signed in the summer as a ready-made replacement for Alex Hleb

The French international midfielder is just as assured in possession, just as inventive - and he has an eye for goal too. The 21-year-old, who made two appearances at Euro 2008, arrives with a big reputation after being voted as French Ligue One's Young Player of the Year in 2007.

Samir made 145 appearances for Olympique Marseille, winning the Intertoto Cup in 2005 and helping them finish third in the French League last season. The new Arsenal recruit was a major reason why Marseille will compete in the Champions League this term.

Wenger is clearly delighted with his major summer acquisition. "He is young, quick and technically an outstanding player," said the Arsenal manager. "He has shown great potential with his performances for Marseille and the French national team over the past two seasons and he will add great quality to our squad."

Otober
Samir played some part in all five of Octoberís fixtures and his highlight came against Everton on the 14th. Arsenal had gone behind to a ninth-minute Leon Osman strike and had failed to equalise in the first half. Three minutes after the interval it was Nasri, from all of 20 yards, who thundered home a low strike to set-up their 3-1 triumph over the Toffees.

September
Samir picked up an injury in the first week of September while away on international duty. The knee problem kept him out for most of the month but he returned with a mercurial performance in Septemberís final game against FC Porto. Nasri managed 65 minutes on the left-wing in that 4-0 Champions League victory and showed glimpses of what the fans can expect from him in the future.

August
Arsenal fans hoped the Frenchman would hit the ground running; in fact, Samir started at a sprint. The 21-year-old took a little over 250 seconds to open his Arsenal account, scoring the winner against West Brom on the opening day of the season. The midfielder followed up that effort with the first goal in Arsenalís 4-0 demolition of FC Twente at Emirates Stadium. For his outstanding efforts in August, Nasri was named O2/Arsenal.com Player of the Month.

If Nasri is smart enough, under Wenger's guidance, he could only improve in Arsenal. Arsenal is one of the only teams in the world which gives real opportunities to its young players to show their real talents in important league or European games. I am 100% sure we will see Nasri for many years to come in Arsenal.
