Doostan,
Shaquille O'neal is going to be traded to the Miami Heat for Lamar Odom, Brian Grant, Caron Butler, and a fututre first round pick.
In a way it sucks because the Heat were a young team and much faster, but now we have Shaq who is 32 yrs. old and probably only has 2 more good seasons left in him. I have mixed feelings about the whole thing but I STILL CANT BELIEVE HE'S COMING TO MY TEAM!!!!!!!
Shemi Jan your thoughts on this issue please A.S.A.P.

What's the saying?? In the land of the blind, one-eyed man is king....??
Yes, Shaq may be heading towards the twilight of his career, but in the Eastern Conference with no dominant big men, Shaq is going to rule for many years to come. Heat got the better end of the deal if you ask me.
Hey, don't get me wrong...losing Shaq is a major bummer for me. :( I think Lakers disrespected him, even if their decision to trade him under the circumstances was a correct one. If I had to choose between keeping Shap OR Kobe, I'd pick Kobe as well. I feel a lot better when Kobe has signed his contract.
Lakers will be a rather ordinary team for a few years to come, even though they'll be competitive. According to LA Times, Lakers might be aiming at signing Yao Ming in 2007 when he becomes a free agent. There are rumors that Lakers, for now, are going after Vlade Divac to fill the void in the center.
I always liked Grant. When he was with Portland we saw a lot of him, and when he became a free agent, there were strong rumors that he'll join the Lakers. Odom is very good and versatile and saw a lot of him when he was with Clipps, and I don't know Jack about the third guy that's part of the deal.
Lakers without a big man, won't be able to win any titles.

This is the worst move since the Portland Trailblazers selected Sam Boie over Michael Jordan.
