Hey guys,
I was doing the usual reading of one of my monthly suscribed car magazines (CAR), and was reading about supercar contenders to the likes of the Porsche Carrera GT and Enzo, and i spotted a familiar sounding name - the FARBOUD GTS. The caption next to the photo of this stunning creation stated that the mastermind behind this creation was a young man by the name of Arash Farboud, which really caught my attention, and left me breathless for a few moments - could this be an Iranian supercar producer? I reasearched further using the net, and found out the founder is indeed from Iran! This is exciting news for me as im very much into automobiles, and having a fellow countryman achieve a car competitve to the likes of Ferrari and Porsche really made my day.
There are two versions of this model, both using the renowned Audi 3.2 litre V6, although one pumps out over 400 bhp while the other is a biturbo version shelling out 590 bhp! This is for a body constructed of Carbon Fibre composite weighing in under 1200kg! It is claimed that it will reach 322 km/h, and acceleration to 100 km/h in approximatly 3.3 seconds.
Arash started building the car in Britian as he is very much an enthusiast, and when the car design got up and running, he decided to invest more and from a whole company. So far more than 20 have been accounted for, extremelly promising for a company that was formed in just over a year! Really, really makes me proud to be an Iranian. Mashalah agah! :iran2: :iran2:
