| (AFC) The 16 finalists have been divided into four groups of four for
single round-robin play, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the knock-out
rounds of the competition, beginning with the quarter-finals. The winners of the quarter-finals will advance to the semi-finals, with the
semi-finals winners playing in the championship finals, while the semi-final losers will
play off for third spot.
The top three teams in the competition qualify for the FIFA
U-17 World Championship 2005.
